If your printer uses HP 213A/X/Y toner cartridges (HP 5700dn/6700/6701dn, MFP 5800dn/6800/6801dn models) and you have never replaced them, please follow these steps to learn how to change your toners.
- Open the front door
2. Grasp the end of the toner cartridge and pull it straight out of the printer and set aside.
3. Unpack the replacement toner making sure to remove all of the shipping materials or protective paper/tape prior to installation.
4. Hold both ends of the toner cartridge and rock it back and forth end to end to evenly distribute the toner that is inside.
5. Align the toner cartridge with its color slot and insert it into the printer.
6. Close the front door
