How to Fix Reseat Cartridge Message on Neopost Postage Meter

If you are getting “Reseat Cartridge” message on your Neopost postage meter, your machine/cartridge contacts might be dirty and therefore, not making connection. The following easy steps might help remedy the problem:

  1. Take the cartridge out of the machine and with a pencil eraser rub/clean the contacts on the cartridge (they look like little gold squares). Then, make sure to remove any eraser dust left behind on the contacts.
  2. Next, in the machine, you should see pins that stick out and are spring loaded. With your thumb push them in and rub upward to clean them.
  3. When you are finished, install the cartridge and the problem should be fixed.
